For this project we were assigned to create a video that demonstrated juxtapositions. So I decided to find a place where nature and the unnatural, like all the litter and construction of human utilities, are in constant combat. The place I went to was Oceanside, California and it was on February 29th, 2024. Most of these pictures consisted of litter that people left behind in areas where nature collided with the unnatural, in many areas nature can be seen growing through concrete as if it were fighting it's way back into it's land. The reason I wanted to document this is because of how often I go to oceanside and visit for the beach and just see lots of clutter all over the place making the mess unavoidable regardless of the signs being shown. All of these were taken with a Sony ZVE-10 and with a Tamron Lens 17-70mm.
